Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability (JWCC) Contract Awarded

Dec. 8, 2022

On December 7, 2022, the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability (JWCC) contract was awarded to four Cloud Service Providers (CSP): Amazon Web Services Inc., Google Support Services LLC, Microsoft Corporation, and Oracle.  JWCC is a multi-vendor, enterprise-wide acquisition vehicle that will provide the DOD with a direct means to acquire commercial cloud services.

DOD customers interested in ordering commercial cloud services and capabilities through the JWCC contract can learn more about how to get started using the steps below. Additionally, DISA’s HaCC offers cloud accelerators to make adopting JWCC cloud services offerings easier for our customers, including:

  • DAPPS. A web-based interview tool that guides mission owners through the DOD acquisition process and digitally prepares an acquisition package.
  • ATAT. A cloud provisioning tool that enables the initial creation of accounts for mission owners across multiple cloud vendors at all classification levels, as well as helping mission owners track cloud spend.
  • Vulcan. A suite of tools (Git.mil, Jira, Confluence, and Gitlab Premium) that helps DOD customers adopt DevSecOps and Agile practices.
  • DOD Cloud Infrastructure as Code. A collection of preconfigured templates that use automation to build secure cloud environments.
