Ms. Kohler is the Acting Chief of the Cyber Services Division within the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) J9 Hosting and Compute. In this role, Ms. Kohler leads the cybersecurity organization with expertise and daily focus on providing strategic direction and continual mission oversight of all cyber business, cybersecurity operations, assurance and readiness activities for customers hosted and managed by the J9 HaC, supporting the Warfighter.  

Previously, Ms. Kohler worked in the field of information assurance and cybersecurity for 18 years performing duties as a Security Clerk/Assistant, Security Manager and Information Systems Security Officer, Program/Directorate Information Systems Security Manager and Cyber Advisor. In 2012, Ms. Kohler transitioned from a technical security specialist into Cyber leadership, as a pivotal tactical leader focused on vision and alignment of strategic goals. Ms. Kohler introduced new strategies, provided extensive oversight and paved the way for continuous success in the delivery of cyber services.  

Ms. Kohler began her IT career as a Cooperative Education student for Letterkenny Army Depot during her senior year at Fannett-Metal High School prior to being sworn under oath into federal service in May of 1985. Ms. Kohler has a total of 38 years in civilian service.  

She is a Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM) and a recipient of a Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Support Implementing DOD Information Assurance (IA) Strategy from the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration/Department of Defense Chief Information Officer.
