Col James A Wright
Military Deputy Director
Hosting and Compute Center, Defense Information Systems Agency
Col James Wright is assigned to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as the Military Deputy Director in the Hosting and Compute Center (HaCC) where he provides leadership and strategic guidance for the procurement of net-centric technology solutions. Col Wright oversees Special Projects at the HaCC while also serving as the military advocate for HaCC’s men and women in uniform.
Col Wright has previously held various Cyber, Intelligence, and Acquisition positions to include Systems Engineer, Chief of Cyber Operations and 57th Intelligence Squadron Commander. Additionally, he served as the Contract Officer Representative for the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron, Al Udeid AB Qatar, responsible for the $400M Base Operations Support contract. His staff experience includes Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Agency and United States Cyber Command.
Col Wright holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Carroll College, Helena, MT; a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University, Bozeman, MT; and a master’s degree in Military Operational Art and Science from Air University, Alabama. He earned his Commission in 1999 through the Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. He is Level III Certified in Program Management and Engineering and Level I Certified in Test and Evaluation.
