LtCol Nathan Dmochowski

LtCol Dmochowski was born in Tacoma, Washington and is a first-generation Marine.  He was raised in East Lansing, Michigan and attended Grand Valley State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2001.  After graduation, he attended Officer Candidate School through the Officer Candidate Class program and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in March 2003. He also holds a Master of Military Studies degree from the Command and Staff College in Quantico, Virginia and is pursuing a Master’s degree from the Army War College Distance Education Program.
 

LtCol Dmochowski’s previous assignments include: Branch Head for Ground Standards Branch, Policy and Standards Division, Training and Education Command; Battalion Executive Officer 3d Battalion, 3d Marines; Commander Alpha FAST Company; Operations Officer for Anti-Terrorism Battalion; and Project Officer, Program Manager for Training Systems.
 

LtCol Dmochowski’s deployments include: serving as a Rifle Platoon Commander in Operation Iraqi Freedom II and supporting Operation Vigilant Resolve in Fallujah, Iraq (2004); serving as Company Executive Officer operating in and around Fallujah, Iraq (2005); serving as Assistant Operations Officer in 3d Battalion, 9th Marines, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and then as Commander of Company L in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2010-2011); and supporting a Unit Deployment program to Okinawa, Japan (2017).
 

His personal decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with Gold Star, Navy Commendation Medal with two gold stars, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon with gold star.
