Col Mitchell Elder

Col Mitchell Elder is assigned to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as the Military Deputy Director in the Hosting and Compute Center where he provides leadership and strategic guidance for the procurement of net-centric technology solutions. Col Elder oversees Special Projects at the HaCC while also serving as the military advocate for HaCC's men and women in uniform. 

Col Elder has previously held various Contracting Officer and leadership positions supporting base operations, major acquisitions, and deployed contingencies as well as served on the United States Air Forces Central Command and Air Education Training Command Staffs. He has deployed extensively in support of overseas contingencies to include Operation Southern Watch, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.  

Col Elder holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wright State University, a Master of Science in Strategic Purchasing from Air Force Institute of Technology, WPAFB; a Master Degree in Military Operational Art and Science from Air University, Alabama. He earned his Commission in 1999 through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program at Wright State University, OH. He is Level III Certified in Contracting.
